THE STORY OF STAR HANGERS

Star Hangers are hand-painted castings of original artworks created by internationally acclaimed sculptors Patrick Amiot and his wife, Brigitte Laurent.

The story of Star Hangers began when Patrick and Brigitte created a series of miniature hockey jerseys, licensed by the NHL and marketed under the trade name Star Hangers. Other projects have included basketball jerseys licensed by the NBA, golfers, motorcyclists and other sports related miniatures. Always whimsical, the works capture the quirks and humour of our leisure activities.

Working as a collaborative team, the couple jointly conceives each piece. Patrick then sculpts the clay original and Brigitte carefully hand-paints the details. A mold is made from the original clay prototype and the pieces are cast in poly-resin. Each piece is then hand-painted by craftspeople following the prototype provided by the artists.

Originally from Montreal, Patrick and Brigitte now live in California with their two daughters. Their artwork is found in fine art galleries across the United States and Canada
